I am a marketing and communications enthusiast living in beautiful Calgary, Alberta (#yyc). I like long walks on the beach . . . oh wait that is a different kind of site!
I really do love marketing and communications and how we can take an idea, product, person, whatever and communicate about it in different ways. It is an amazing human ability to convey meaning to others in unique methods.
I recently graduated from Mount Royal University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in marketing and minoring in business and society. Why the minor you may ask? It ties in nicely with my previous degree from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Arts majoring in sociology and minoring in psychology. Obviously, I love to learn and have had the wonderful opportunity to obtain two Bachelor Degrees. What next? Not entirely sure yet, but it will likely start with “Masters”; when I figure it out I will keep you posted. However, I plan to take a few years off from academia.
Who am I beyond marketing and communications? I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading (sometimes not a business book or textbook, gasp!), movies, video games, and naps, who doesn’t love naps!
